| IIn honor of our rodeo brethern and...maybe shamelessly tapping into the Brokeback Mountain craze, the Diamond State Bears wish to invite all Bears, cubs, otters, and those who admire them to our next gathering: "BEARS, BOOTS, AND BOXERS" Date: April 8th Time: 9pm till ..... Place: Diamond State Rodeo Associations Clubhouse We are renting the DSRA clubhouse for this gathering. Those of you who made the Mardi Gras party knows just how much fun we have at these gatherings. Now as you can see...the theme of the party is pretty obvious, but do you HAVE to wear just boots and boxers...or course not. We want these parties to be a fun event where those who identify with the bear community can come and party and enjoy being around those who appreciate the urseline community. We do, however, wish to encourage everyone to get with the theme of the night. I mean heck, whats a theme party if no one carries the theme? Our attendence for these gatherings have far outweighed what we expected, and for that we are appreciative. However, our goal it to bring as much of the bear community in Arkansas together as we can. Create a network where Bears, cubs , and otters all get to know each other and communicate. Most of our advertising has been via the internet and our good friends at Sidetracks. I am encouraging everyone to tell their freinds who don't go online or go to bars to come and visit and get to know your fellow bears. Remember..you do not need to be a member or DSRA or DSB to come party with us. Second Friday of each month Sidetracks is offering "Bear Club Night" Philip is making the effort to reach out to the Bear community and recognize their place in the Gay community.
